Collaboration is Key

As a mum, I have encouraged my kids to try a variety of sports. If it was up to me, I would be trying to get sports working together to come up with a four season approach for kids. Give them a true variety of physical literacy. Let them embrace the joy of sport and allow them to socialise rather than specialise.….it might just keep them in the sport longer!

Sporting Bodies and the Sports We Play

A friend of mine recently called me “Amazon-like”. In the uncertainty if it was a compliment or not, it got me thinking about what makes up the components of athleticism. Along with genetics, there a some sports that have greater capacity to increase athleticism, sometimes these sports have the glory but they usually don’t have the money. Wouldn’t it be nice if more sports could truly collaborate?
